★2 [Video]

[The video opens on America's legs. He's rolled up his pant legs and is sitting at the edge of the lake on Route 30, dangling his feet in the water. A sleeping hoppip rests on his knees.]

I'm kind of worried about Pinky you guys. [He turns the 'gear around to focus on his face, with Liberty on his shoulder as usual.] She's level 5 already and she still can't do any attacks. D'you think it's cause it's so hot maybe? Like, is she wilting or something? I keep givin' her berries and makin' sure she has enough water an' all. She seems happy and everything, I mean... but she just sorta flops around. Like a magikarp.

...Maybe she'll evolve into something really cool? But man, she's so cute. [He turns the camera to show the hoppip again, reaching down to skritch the base of her leaves.] I kinda don't want her ending up some freaky monster thing.

Ahh, some kinds take a while with that. Not sure about Hoppips, but Togepis don't learn any sort of attacking move for a while. Hell, the only sort of attacking move Yohki's picked up by himself so far is Metronome, and he's a little over level 30.

[ two Jumpluffs are staring at the video before Joonhee shoos them to the side a bit. ]

That's normal for Hoppips, you don't have to worry. They don't learn Tackle until level 10 but if she seems happy then she's probably okay. The two you saw before, Doraji and Sou, started off as Hoppips.

Ah, every pokémon is different with when they learn things or if they even learn them at all. My Delibird, Arcturus, only has one attack, and half the time it heals and half the time it does damage.

My Hoppip took a while to learn anything, especially since he hated to fight, but after sometime they do learn some helpful moves.

[Trance all but coos when the feed turns on.]

Oh, she's adorable! I don't know much about pokemon yet, but some plants don't mind the heat very much. Sometimes they even like it. The most important part is talking to them and telling them that you're proud of them no matter what they do.

[Yes, she's talking about plants, not children.]

[It just so happens that Harry's hanging out with his own Rufflet today, but Washington isn't perched on his shoulder — he's flitting and darting around in the background, dutifully practicing flying.]

Every pokémon's different. She won't evolve into a monster, though. She'll be what's called a Skiploom.

[Harry holds up the book that's been resting on his lap, the page turned to an entry on Skiploom with a very, very cute picture. See? No need to worry, America.]

And then they evolve into this. [He turns the page, over to the entry on Jumpluff.]

[ The feed focuses on Jumpluff, for a second, it just seems to twinkle around, floating and shaking off its spores.

Then, it fires a bullet seed. The rapid taps hit against the walls before finally breaching through and flying off into the distance. Yep. Lust just demonstrated its evolution going full machine gun. ]

Jumpluff, here, is the evolution of Hoppip. Hoppip's grow slowly at first but they quickly become masters at poisoning, paralyzing and infecting your pokémon with sleep spores.
