[A mareep is sitting on the ground in the grassy area just south of Violet, patiently wagging her tail. America's voice over the feed is loud and excited as ever.]

Alright so I know some of y'all aren't from earth so I guess it's alright if you don't know but today is the Fourth of July ay-kay-ay the number one best day of the year, 'cause today's when we celebrate freedom an' liberty and justice and basically all the things that make America great, like corn on the cob and barbecue bacon cheeseburgers. And it's also my two hundred twenty-fifth, birthday, which is a pretty sweet number, 'cause that's bi-and-a-quarter-centennial. So that's why Mary an'I are gonna put on a little show for you.

[The mareep gets to her feet on hearing her name, her tail wagging now in earnest.] Alright let's show 'em, Mary.

[From behind the 'gear, America tosses an oran berry into the air, high above Mary's head. She watches it excitedly, letting loose a triumphant thundershock when it's directly overhead. The berry explodes fantastically, sending juice and little berry bits flying in all directions. America quickly repeats the maneuver with a tamato berry, and then a sitrus, all of which explode wonderfully into colorful fruity chunks. When it's finished America turns the camera back on himself with a thumbs-up and a wink. There's a few stray drops of berry juice on his face.]

I didn't think they had any fireworks at the PokeMart so I figured this is the next best thing. Whaddaya think? Pretty awesome right?

[The video opens on America's legs. He's rolled up his pant legs and is sitting at the edge of the lake on Route 30, dangling his feet in the water. A sleeping hoppip rests on his knees.]

I'm kind of worried about Pinky you guys. [He turns the 'gear around to focus on his face, with Liberty on his shoulder as usual.] She's level 5 already and she still can't do any attacks. D'you think it's cause it's so hot maybe? Like, is she wilting or something? I keep givin' her berries and makin' sure she has enough water an' all. She seems happy and everything, I mean... but she just sorta flops around. Like a magikarp.

...Maybe she'll evolve into something really cool? But man, she's so cute. [He turns the camera to show the hoppip again, reaching down to skritch the base of her leaves.] I kinda don't want her ending up some freaky monster thing.
